So I got four runs in this week. Monday 3.5 Wednesday 3.3 Saturday 3 and Sunday I did my 4. I am definately feeling much better than my first week back, which is super encouraging. I am trying to plan ahead so that christmas doesn't affect getting my long run in this weekend. Also, I have two hourblast classes planned, so I will interested to see how those affect my energy level etc.. Vince has been running with me, which is so nice. Just knowing that he is going with me is more motivation. But yesterday his shins were bothering him and I had to leave him behind. Hopefully we can address the problem and he can keep going with me. I am so impressed with everyone. Reading everyones progress definately motivates me - cause usually im slacking. Yesterday I added some new tunes to my playlist. I was jogging to some old school jams. Music defintalely affects the runs I think....Anyway - great job ladies!
My shins hurt me every now and then. I ice them after every run. It started with that 10 minutes of jump rope I did at Gym Matrix one day. My right knee / IT band really hurt after running 6 miles yesterday. I woke up in the middle of the night in pain. I am going to ask the trainers at Gym Matrix to show me some stretches b/c it has been hurting since I started running. Yesterday was the worse. It's only my right knee. Foam rolling helps but I feel like I also need some good stretches to do.

ReplyDeleteYea, Vince iced yesterday and we didn't do tred mill in hb. He is going to rest today too. Karen said he may need to get fitted for shoes. Do share some stretches, Im sure those will help too!
